Young toddlerhood is my absolute favorite stage of development. I've been so engrossed in infancy and those early preschool years, I'd almost forgotten why I love the earliest years the most.
The whole world is new.
They watch closely the actions of others, and then, when they are ready, they imitate those actions to take on that new skill as their own.
Because their world is new, nothing seems to surprise them much.
A pool...full of bubbles...no hesitation.
Jump right in and see what happens.
I find it absolutely amazing that children can learn so much with their whole body. Every sense working together.
And every task, no matter how small, could be the most teachable moment of the day.
OH...did I forget...
