11 Months Old

River at 11 months with Big Sister Magnolia

Today our little Bean is 11 months old. And at this very moment he is voicing his opposition to nap time from his crib---yes, sleep is still a bit tricky at 11 months old.

River is still going to sleep in his crib each night, but at some point (usually when Mommy just can't wake herself up enough to help him back to sleep one more time) he ends up in bed with Mommy and Daddy. 

This last month he decided that he is ready to practice walking. Mommy doesn't help him walk, but Sissy sure does. He pulls right up on that sister of his and walks her just where he wants to go. Sissy passively obliges.

River enjoys talking on the phone just like Sissy. He puts the phone to his ear and babbles away to friends and family, usually with his little "eh-o" (hello approximation).

He also attempts to say "hi" and "thank you." He even gives kisses and pretends to sneeze.

He signs "all done" when he's finished eating or as I begin to change his diaper, and of course he signs "dog."

He shakes his head for "no" and nods for "yes."

He is simply imitating about everything we do. 

He's still busy, he still get's into everything, and he's still just as sweet as can be.
